Everything started in the skate park and two brothers spending their time outdoors. One of them, Aaron, was watching his brother as he was riding his BMX bike, but he wouldn’t join him. He had been a wheelchair user since he turned 8 years-old, and back then he didn’t know whether wheelchairs and skate parks could go together well. His brother, however, persuaded him to give it a shot, and it worked out perfectly. Aaron was hooked, and eventually, he set out to become an extreme wheelchair athlete. Backflips? Double flips? Sure – for Aaron Fotheringham it’s a piece of cake. He has mastered the art of WCMX and proves limits are only in our heads. How does he do it? What’s WCMX like? I’ll answer all these questions below!
Everything changes when you experience freedom. The world comes to life in new colors, shapes, and tastes. The blood in your veins fills with a sensation of wonder, and there are no limits anymore. There are just steps on the path of exploration, and every misstep is just a valuable lesson. When you experience freedom, the sky is not your enemy anymore. It doesn’t define you because you define yourself. I’ve found my freedom in traveling and sports, but once you grasp it, it will never completely leave you. It is the sense of wonder growing inside you. Late at nights, it guides your thoughts and it lets you enjoy everything life has to offer. That’s the freedom that can’t be defined, the freedom that lives within ourselves. What about freedom of movement?
When I travel, I like to explore everything world has to offer. New experiences, sights, and sensations fill me with the pure joy of life. No wonder that food is the important element of my travels. After all, it allows me to dive into the world of tastes, which stay on my tongue long after the sensation’s gone. With Blumil electric wheelchair, I can explore more in the places I visit and thanks to local cuisine… I can feel the taste of the place. The experience feels complete. What kinds of dishes have captured my imagination this fall? Well, since I traveled to Asia, I could try the local cuisine and it was absolutely wonderful. The abundance of flavors blew my mind, and now I know culinary adventures should never be dismissed. It seems that Asia and good cuisine are almost synonymous. More about Asian food adventures below!
