Once upon a time, when the Earth just came into shape, somebody decided that some things always go together. Bread and butter, fun and games, salt and pepper all seem to be perfect matches, but the ultimate pairing is obviously… food and travel! There is no better chance to broaden your culinary horizons and exercise your taste buds than when you are out of your safe zone and thrown into the unknown.  My number one mission during each of my trips is to always try something new. Imagine the world where pavements are always even, thresholds aren’t dangerously high and elevators don’t remember your grandparents’ youth. Sounds beautiful, right? That’s the world of accessibility, which I hope, is just a few years away. Right now, however, many travel destinations can be described in three I’s: incredible, interesting and… inaccessible. Since there are too many of them to mention, I would rather talk about countries, which promote accessibility. Indeed, there are countries, which are racing towards accessible future with the speed of the light! I haven’t visited the entire globe, but out of all places I’ve seen 3  countries seem to be perfectly wheelchair friendly. Which travel destinations exactly do I have in mind? More about it below!

That’s precisely the reason why water is likely to become your best friend, once you befriend it. It’s fun, relaxing and offers countless possibilities of leisure.  Diving and snorkeling included! Everything changes when you experience freedom.  The world comes to life in new colors, shapes, and tastes. The blood in your veins fills with a sensation of wonder, and there are no limits anymore. There are just steps on the path of exploration, and every misstep is just a valuable lesson. When you experience freedom, the sky is not your enemy anymore. It doesn’t define you because you define yourself. I’ve found my freedom in traveling and sports, but once you grasp it, it will never completely leave you.  It is the sense of wonder growing inside you. Late at nights, it guides your thoughts and it lets you enjoy everything life has to offer. That’s the freedom that can’t be defined, the freedom that lives within ourselves. What about freedom of movement?

Asian Food Feast: Fall 2017

When I travel, I like to explore everything world has to offer. New experiences, sights, and sensations fill me with the pure joy of life. No wonder that food is the important element of my travels. After all, it allows me to dive into the world of tastes, which stay on my tongue long after the sensation’s gone. With Blumil electric wheelchair, I can explore more in the places I visit and thanks to local cuisine… I can feel the taste of the place. The experience feels complete. What kinds of dishes have captured my imagination this fall? Well, since I traveled to Asia, I could try the local cuisine and it was absolutely wonderful. The abundance of flavors blew my mind, and now I know culinary adventures should never be dismissed. It seems that Asia and good cuisine are almost synonymous.  More about Asian food adventures below!
